Women hurt in Amsterdam incident have died
Two women found injured in the garden of an Amsterdam apartment building early Monday morning died after being rushed to the hospital. After hearing loud groans coming from the garden at around 1 a.m. Monday, a neighbor called emergency services.
Police have not identified the two victims, who are 27 and 30 years of age. Neither the women's identities nor the nature of their injuries have been released.
Calling the circumstances suspicious, police said they are not ruling anything out. "We are keeping all scenarios open, we really do not know what happened," a police representative said. "The investigation is still in progress."
One of the building's occupants said that the two women did not live in the apartment complex, “but had connection with a resident."
