Kids hidden from child services

An underground organization that believes child services does more harm than good is currently hiding children at secret addresses in The Netherlands and abroad, away from the eyes of child services, according to paper De Stentor. Members of this network keep children at these addresses for short periods of time, sometimes not longer than a few days. The network has been active for over a year, and has around 20 people. The members act this way because they have had negative experiences with child services. They see hiding children as the last resort to save children who have to go into institutions. "We have to do something. Our method is always better than child services", one of the members tells De Stentor. Child Services Netherlands knows that this is happening. They are more surprised that the initiative is happening in an organized manner. According to De Telegraaf, the police is currently investigating the network, and warns all those involved of the consequences, and the interests of the child.
