Aboutaleb picks up 2nd term as Rotterdam mayor

Ahmed Aboutaleb will be mayor of Rotterdam for another six years. The first Moroccan-Dutch mayor of the Netherlands has been given a second term by Royal Decree. He will be in office until early 2021. The council called for a new term for the 52 year old Aboutaleb in July. The mayor is regularly in the news with his strong opinions about radical Muslims and integration problems.
