Sex with student gets teacher fired

A teacher was fired from the Stedelijk Gymnasium in Breda, after it was discovered that he had an undesirable relationship with a student, BN De Stem reports. This was written by principal Hetty Mulder in a letter to parents and teachers. She did not divulge the identity of the student, in order to safeguard the privacy of that student. According to Mulder, the undesirable aspect of the relationship would be the relationship of authority between teacher and pupil. She says that the school has followed the standard procedures, and has announced the incident to the confidential inspector of further education. "We are disappointed that this situation has appeared at our school, but also do not want to cover it up. Things between two people are unavoidable. We may pay more close attention to the behavioral code next school year", Mulder states.
