Baby born in A1 traffic jam
A boy was born into the world during rush-hour traffic on the rijksweg A1 near Blaricum this morning. The pregnant mother was in the car with the obstetrician on the way to the Tergooi hospital, but did not make it there in time, het Parool reports.
A police spokesperson said that the obstetrician tried to call the police for an escort service through the traffic, but they came too late.
The woman was already in delivery in the midst of a traffic jam. An ambulance eventually managed to bring both mother and baby to the hospital. Both are doing well.
