Voting passes not delivered in Woensdrecht
An unknown number of people did not receive their voting passes for the European elections in the municipality of Woensdrecht, Omroep Brabant reports.
The error was discovered two weeks ago after several residents complained. The municipality immediately sent out notices that residents could collect replacement voting passes at the city hall.
This week, 2400 letters were personally delivered to warn voters. Only around 100 replacement passes were collected from the municipality, however.
It is unclear how many people were affected by the mistake. "We informed people in every way two weeks long about the possible bad delivery. The question remains of course if the people who have not come by to pick up a replacement voting pass did want to vote", municipality spokesman Jan Prop says.
