5 wounded as Schiphol shuttle drives into water

On Thursday night, a shuttle bus from Schiphol drove into the water, injuring five people, a spokesperson for the royal military police reports. The shuttle was taking passengers from the airport to a parking lot when it veered off the Loevesteinse Randweg road for an unknown reason. It barreled through the crash barrier and landed nose-first in the water. There were 29 people inside the shuttle. Two children and three adults, including the driver, were injured and taken to hospital. Other passengers were sheltered at the airport. The police are investigating how the accident could have happened.
