Traffic btw. Utrecht, A'dam restricted this weekend
The Hoevelaken junction in the A28 highway between Utrecht and Amsterdam is going to partially be closed this weekend for reparation works to the road surface.
Traffic moving to- and from Utrecht and Amsterdam are being asked to keep in mind delays and re-directions, the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment and the municipality of Amersfoort announce Tuesday.
As well as the turn-off Hoevelaken from the direction of Utrecht, the parallel lanes between Amersfoort and Hoevelaken will also close.
The maintenance will begin Friday evening at 9 p.m., and will last until Monday morning at 5 a.m. Bad weather will stop the works.
Connecting roads of the A38 to the A1 are closed as well. Traffic from Amsterdam in the direction of Zwolle would be better off driving via the A12 in the direction of Arnhem, and then taking the A50 in the direction of Apeldoorn.
It is also possible to take the A27 heading to Almere, and then taking the A1 to Apeldoorn.
