Schiphol drops on top airports list
Schiphol airport dropped two places on the world ranking of international airports, according to results from an annual study by research agency Skytrax, based on choices passengers make.
The airport managed to keep its place as best West-European airport. On the world ranking list Schiphol was surpassed by Munich and Hong Kong, and now ranks fifth. The Shangi airport in Singapore ranks first, followed by Incheon in Seoul. Skytrax surveyed over 12 million travelers in 110 countries, producing leading results, according to Schiphol Commercial Director Maarten de Groof. De Groof is still content with the acknowledgment, both for the airport and the airlines based at Schiphol.
