Cyanide alarm forces KLM evacuation

A cyanide alarm forced the evacuation of the KLM environmental center on Schiphol East around 14:15, Wednesday afternoon. The fire department arrived fully equipped, but an investigation quickly established there were no hazardous materials involved. Nobody was hurt. The KLM will investigate the cause of the alarm. Cyanide is primarily used for mining gold, or in the jewelry and photo industry.
