Teenager apprehended in armed robbery
A 14-year old boy has been apprehended for attempted armed robbery on a flower stall in Voorburg.
The boy threatened the flower sales-woman with a gun and, along with his accomplice, a 26-year old man, robbed her of her money and personal items.
The attack happened on Sunday at around 2:30 p.m. Police have not said what weapons were used.
The two robbers, both from The Hague, ran away. The police were performing the changing of the guard at the time, which meant there were twice as many policemen at that particular moment.
It did not take long before the police caught up with the culprits. They had wet trousers, possibly due to walking in a ditch. The two are in custody.
