Fatal shooting in Zaandam
A 30-year old man from Amsterdam was shot and killed in Zaandam at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
The victim was found by a passer-by next to his car on the Pieter Jelles Troelstralaan. The window on the driver's side was shattered, and the car door stood open.

Police are as of yet unsure of the victim's identity.
Witnesses reported a lot of blood when they saw the victim lying on the street under a white blanket. The body was not moved for some time, which caused for a morbid scene in the neighborhood.
A burning car was later found on the Reizigersweg in Amsterdam-Noord. Police are making a link between the car and the incident in Zaandam, saying it might be the escape vehicle.
