One dead, one wounded after cellar explosion

In The Hague, one was killed after an explosion in a small cellar. One wounded has been brought to the Maasstad Hospital in Rotterdam with burn wounds. A spokesperson from the fire department could not tell what exactly happened. The police and the fire department are investigating the explosion, which happened by the Broekslootkade. Eight homes have been evacuated. It is not yet clear when the residents can return to their homes. Temporary housing has been arranged for them by the municipality. One spokesperson for the municipality expects the homes are not yet safe for people to spend the night. According to a fire department spokesperson, there is little to no sign of a possible fire after the explosion.
