New fines for sitting in your car
Starting Saturday, parking manager Cition is going to deploy more scan cars to fine illegal parkers. In addition, they are doing away with paper fines, to speed up the process even more.
'Sitting in your car, waiting for your mother-in-law is considered parking, and it's been like that for years, just as buying a pack of cigarettes and leaving your car for just a moment.

Wikipedia.org We expect you to pay for that. If you don't, you are fined for about 60 euros,' said Thomas Scheen, Cition spokesperson. With the new scan cars and the elimination of the paper fining system, chances of incurring a fine increase. 'Cition will not enforce stricter, but more,' said Scheen. The parking manager will take into account parkers who are loading and unloading, or are on their way to the parking meter. 'There is still a watchful eye in the scan car to evaluate whether the fine is just,' said Scheen.
