82-year-old robbed, assaulted; 2 charged

Two 20-year-old men from Rotterdam were arrested on Wednesday January 29, for the brutal robbery of a 82-year-old woman in her apartment on the Dadeltuin in Rotterdam on January 15. That Wednesday morning the men forced an entry into the victim's home on the eighth floor of the flat on the Dadeltuin.

The suspects assaulted the 82-year-old victim to get her to tell them about her valuables. Only ten minutes later they escaped with an amount of money. When home healthcare arrived, half an hour later, they found the victim, who was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. The police investigation led to the two suspects, who will appear in court today, Friday.
