Newspaper delivery man found shot
Police in Groningen are investigating a shooting incident in Groningen that left a newspaper delivery man injured on the street. The 35-year-old was found shot on the Hoendiep, a residential street on the city's west side.
He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. Police say his injuries were not life threatening. Detectives managed to interview the victim at the hospital after he was treated for the gunshot wound.
Witnesses discovered the wounded man and quickly called emergency services in the early morning hours. Police have since closed the Hoendiep to look for trace evidence in the area.
No suspects are in custody.
