Drop in flowers export value

The export value of Dutch flowers and plants has dropped 2% to €5.3 billion in 2013, according to HBAG. Flowers / Flickr The flowers and plants sale was affected by the cold spring and hot summer. Due to the heat wave in the summer, demand was low for flowers. Also, there were little sales of garden plants in the cold spring. In December, however, the value of exports rose 14% to €420 million, HBAG said. In 2012, the export value of Dutch flowers and plants was € 5.4 billion.
