King welcomes diplomats to Amsterdam palace

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima received a few hundred guests in the Royal Palace of Amsterdam, on Tuesday, for the traditional new year's reception. Among them representatives from the construction branch, according to tradition to invite a special group every year. The reception Tuesday, was specifically intended for guests representing the Dutch society. On Wednesday, another new year's reception will welcome foreign diplomats and international organizations, also in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. Princess Beatrix, Princess Margriet, and her husband prof. Pieter van Vollenhoven will attend both receptions as well.
