The report, released by INSEAD Business School, the Human Capital Leadership Institute, and Adecco Group, evaluated a total of 103 countries. It focuses more on human side of global competitiveness between countries, Euro Gates said on Monday.
According to the report, the Netherlands is capable of attracting developing, and keeping talent in the country.
However, the report noted that the level of performance in areas such as labour market flexibility and market and business landscapes was lower in the country.
The Dutch government is teaming up with organisations and educational institutions to increase efforts to help more international students remain in the country after graduating.
Studies show around 70% of international students that are studying in the Netherlands would like to remain in the country after finishing their programme. But about only 27% of them actually are able to do this.
