Fire in fire department Kaag

The fire department in Kaag in Zuid-Holland burned down. One of the fire trucks caught fire, reported a spokesperson. Soon after the entire station went up in flames.The fire department is located on Kaageiland, an island. Four people inhaled smoke. Two homes were evacuated. The residents were taken to shore. There was a storage of gas cylinders next to the building. Fire fighters managed to safely relocate them. The adjacent shipyard, Royal Van Lent, was spared. The damage to the fire department is considerable. The cause is yet unknown.
