Two injured in tram accidents
Two accidents that have left two people injured interrupted tram traffic in The Hague this morning.
According to transporter HTM one person was injured around 11.00am when a tram derailed not far from the Finance Ministry at the recently renovated Bosbrug. It was not immediately clear what caused the tram to derail or whether the injured person was a passenger or a pedestrian. Trams have only recently started using the bridge again.
And at Harstenhoekweg someone got hit by a tram around 10.00am. News reports say the victim sustained injuries and had been taken to the hospital, but expectations were that tram 17 would remain halted and buses 22 and 23 rerouted for some hours.
