Force 9 winds for Christmas

The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) issued a "code yellow" for the coastal provinces for the next few days, because there is a chance of showers with heavy wind gusts. The KNMI anticipates stormy weather with force 8 winds. The northwest coastal area and the IJssel lake will experience turbulent weather. In the course of Monday evening all coastal provinces and the IJssel lake will experience strong winds. Christmas / Wikipedia Weerplaza expects a storm to come in from the south with force 9 winds on Monday evening and Tuesday. There may be wind gusts of up to 90km (55.9 miles) per hour. The turbulent weather will be the result of a severe depression over the ocean near Scotland on Tuesday. The core pressure of less than 930 hPa (hectopascals), a value most barometers can't even register, will guarantee a very heavy storm, 11Bft (scale of Beaufort), along the west coasts of Scotland, England, and Ireland, according to Weerplaza. Very severe weather is expected around Christmas in the French and Italian Alps. There may be more than 100 millimeters of rain fall in twenty-four hours, which may cause flooding in the valleys. In the mountains, more than a meter of snow is expected. Ski villages may become isolated from the outside world, according to Weerplaza.
