40 Dutch evacuated from South Sudan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday said that 40 Dutch have been evacuated from the South Sudanese capital Juba. C-130 Hercules / Flickr The Netherlands has sent a C-130 Hercules aircraft to South Sudan to evacuate Dutch citizens due to the insecurity in the country. The planned evacuation flight this afternoon landed in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. There are more than 80 evacuees, including about half Dutch and half several other nationalities on board, the ministry said. From Addis Ababa, Dutch will fly to Eindhoven and are scheduled to arrival at Eindhoven Air Base 22:00 tonight.
