No trains to Schiphol

Train travelers to, from, or through Schiphol, will be confronted with longer travel times this weekend. The tracks between Schiphol and Amsterdam will be closed for construction, according to NS and ProRail. There will be no train traffic between Schiphol and the stations Amsterdam Sloterdijk, Bijlmer Arena, Diemen Zuid, Amsterdam Zuid, RAI, and Lelylaan. The obstruction starts Friday night around 02:00 and should be cleared before rush-hour Monday. Hal-schiphol-plaza-ns

Wikipedia.org The section between Schiphol toward the north has been under construction for a while now, because it's being expanded and improved. Because of the introduction of a fly-over train in the future, ProRail is placing four concrete floor slabs above the line to Amsterdam Zuid. The night trains and the Thalys will take a different route, due to the construction. In the two following weekends the A10 highway will need to be closed at night close to the junction with the A2, because ProRail will need to install a so-called connecting arc over the road. Train traffic will not be disrupted by that operation.
