Sinterklaas proves to be ex-con

The man who won 2.5 million in the state lottery and made a generous donation to the food bank in Breda is an ex-con, reports Omroep Brabant. The generous giver, John Jansen, was a member of the notorious Juliët gang in the 90s.The man contacted the food bank to donate Sinterklaas gifts for children of poor parents. Nearly five hundred children will soon receive a gift at the expense of the lottery winner. Children up to 12 may pick a gift up to 150 euros, older children can get a laptop. Sinterklaas_zwarte_piet

The gifts will total an amount of 100,000 euros. The food bank did verify the story of the lottery winner, and can confirm that the money for the donations is from the prize, and not dirty money. John Jansen admitted to Omroep Brabant he made the generous donation. Jansen also admitted to dealing in hashish and robbing banks in the past, but states he never killed anybody. He is working on a book about his life. The Juliët gang, of which Jansen was part, was involved in extortion, drug trafficking, and abduction.
