Permanent corpses exhibition in Amsterdam
Amsterdam gets a permanent Body Worlds exhibition. As of January 16 plasticized corpses and body parts will be displayed in the former American Express office on the Damrak.Body Worlds is a project of the German anatomist Gunther von Hagens. The German has traveled the world for years with his exhibition. By a self-developed process the tissue of the corpses is preserved, resulting in very detailed anatomical models.
The exhibition was in Rotterdam in 2010 and 2011, and in 2012 the Body Worlds exhibition was in Amsterdam Expo. Earlier this year a permanent exhibition opened in New York's Times Square.
