Wikimedia commons The struggle between Shiites and Sunnis in the Sa'dah region in northern Yemen has been ongoing for several years. The conflict began in 2007 and has already claimed many lives. Last Wednesday a group of Houthiclan fighters attacked the Salafist school. More than a hundred deaths resulted from the attack and the battles that followed. The immediate reason for the recent attack is the accusation by the Shiite that the Sunni brought in thousands of fighters from abroad. According to the Sunnis, however, it concerns students of the theological school in Damaj. It is not clear how El Bey was killed. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denies any knowledge of the death of a Dutchman in Damaj. Friends and acquaintances of the slain Dutchman gather in the Nasr mosque in Amsterdam. Allegedly more Dutch Muslims study at the school for Theology in Damaj. The AIVD has warned several years for the appeal of Yemen on young radical Muslims from the West. Besides Syria, Somalia, and Afghanistan, Yemen is one of the destinations for jihad travelers, according to the intelligence .
