Emergency service don't call 112 too fast

The emergency service 112 calls on  people not to be too quick to call 112 in dangerous situations caused by the storms. The emergency numbers are overloaded by the many phone calls, causing people to be put on hold when they call 112.Safety region Rotterdam is getting hundreds of phone calls about trees that went down, reports a spokesperson to RTV Rijnmond.

People are advised to only call 112 if the situation is life threatening. Do not call 112 over a fallen tree in a par that caused no damage, according to the spokesperson.
