The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Security and Justice will be responsible for organizing the conference. Former foreign minister Uri Rosenthal will serve as a special Dutch representative at the conference.
“In 2011, as foreign minister, Mr. Rosenthal was responsible for the Freedom Online conference in the Netherlands, during which he learned a great deal about the field. Mr. Rosenthal was also approached thanks to his wide international experience and network of contacts. He will combine his function as special representative with his other activities,” the Dutch government said in a statement.
