The Russian ambassador to the Netherlands believes the Netherlands-Russia Year has been extraordinary, despite the unpleasant incidents of recent times.Ambassador Roman Kolodkin thinks Netherlands and Russia can overcome those incidents. The Russian diplomat Dmitry Borodin was arrested in The Hague this week and in Moscow the Dutch diplomat Onno Elderenbosch was abused. The year can be closed as it began. Kazimir Malevich

Wikipedia.org The ambassador spoke at the opening of an exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum. Queen Máxima opened the exhibition on the Russian painter Kazimir Malevich. The exhibition "Kazimir Malevich and the Russian avant-garde 'is the last major cultural event of the Netherlands-Russia Year. The exhibition presents more than 500 works by Malevich (1878-1935), one of the founders of modern abstract painting. On November 9, the Netherlands-Russia Year will end with a visit of King Willem-Alexander and Máxima queen to Russia. A suggestion to cancel the visit because of the recent tensions, did not have enough support from the House on Thursday evening.
