The grandparents have appealed the court's decision in the Suriname case. While there is no final judgment yet, the father recently traveled to Suriname and took the boy without the knowledge of the grandparents. The grandmother then turned to justice in the Netherlands. The judge has now determined that the boy has to be turned over to his grandmother in about a week, in collaboration with child protective services. The judge imposed a fine on the father in case he does not want to cooperate.
