Traffic jams drive Voorne-Putten crazy

The residents of Voorne-Putten are very annoyed by the traffic jams in the area. Cars must detour because of construction on the Hartelbrug in Spijkenisse,  resulting in crowded roads. The Westvoorne and Brielle municipalities are among those who suffer from it. The traffic backs up almost halfway to Goeree-Overflakkee. It takes people 30 to 40 minutes for about 5 kilometers. It's almost faster to walk, according to a spokesperson of the Brielle town. Flickr   Construction started last week Monday and traffic has been bad every day since. The work is scheduled to be finished on November 4th, and that is much to long to continue like this, state the towns and residents from Voorne-Putten. Tuesday morning the towns will consult with the province on the issue. It must quickly come up with a solution, according to the municipalities.
