Gang imposed subscriptions

In the past few weeks the police arrested six men who coerced women to purchase phone subscriptions. The men are from Rotterdam, Breda, and Etten-Leur and vary in age from 18 to 33.The suspects forced at least eight women from their acquaintances to purchase a subscription. The women were threatened with a weapon. One of the suspects would accompany the victim into the phone shop to make sure she actually signs a contract. talking on cell phone

The six men are suspected of people-trafficking because they exploit the victims, according to police. One of the defendants was sentenced to five years imprisonment today. He reportedly also forced three women to work as prostitutes besides forcing them to purchase phone subscriptions.
