Princess Beatrix In Hospital

Princess Beatrix has broken her cheekbone through an 'unfortunate' fall. That happened in her domestic environment, let the Government Information Service (RVD) know on Sunday. Beatrix has already been operated on Sunday and will have to stay a few days in the hospital. "The princess will then recover further at home in Huis ten Bosch," announced the RVD. In which hospital the former queen was operated and staying is unknown. The impact of the crash for the official duties of the princess will be decided for each case. The next public appearance of Beatrix was luckily only scheduled at October 1, according to the agenda of the royal house. That gives her at least plenty of rest. The ex-queen has a lot of bad luck in recent years. Her husband Prince Claus died and she had all alone to take care for her heavy tasks. Recently her son Prince Friso died. It is also not the first time that Beatrix has fallen. In March, the former queen already crashed. This happened in front of the Oosterpoort in Groningen where she visited a concert of the North Dutch Orchestra. The princess walked down the red carpet and tripped over a curb under the carpet. She fell hard, but was not injured.
