Chance of counterfeit euro 0.002%
The probability that a Dutchman gets a false euro bill in hand is 0.002 percent, about as much as the chance of a big prize in the state lottery, says De Nederlandsche Bank in the publication of a study of the knowledge among the public about euro banknotes.Dutch rarely check bills for authenticity. If they have to express confidence in the authenticity of euro notes in a score they give it a 7.5. They don't have a strong opinion about the design. They don't find the notes beautiful nor ugly.
On the euro banknotes with high value one can say little since most people never get them in hand.
