The Hague prepared for 'prinsjesdag'
The Hague is well prepared for Budget day, announced the town on Monday, a day before the annual event. In the past few weeks several preparatory measures were taken, such as communications on the city's accessibility on a vital moment and detour signs were placed. As of last Friday sweeping teams are working on and around the route to make the whole thing spic and span.
On Budget Day itself 25 sweeping service employees will be deployed, both to clean up the horse poop as other street refuse. The sweeping teams, armed with 10 sweeper trucks and 4 sweeper buses, will start working at 4:00 am until around 19:00. To ensure the horses do not slip, a truck will dump some sand along the route. Also, there are some places set up for stabling and harnessing the horses.

Carrier HTM will see to it that ropes are laid in the tram rails on the route the royal procession travels, so the coaches do not get stuck in the tracks. The police will place fences along the route.
