NAM buys damaged farm

The Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM) (Dutch Oil Company) is buying a farm in the village of Groningen Onderdendam, because it sustained heavy damage from earthquakes. The tremors are caused by gas drilling in the area.It does not pay to restore the monumental farm, says a NAM representative after consultation with planners. It would take rigorous and complex renovation, which is not acceptable. After the earthquakes NAM received about ten thousand damage reports. The company has to see to it the damages are repaired. In most cases that is not a problem, but the damage in Onderdendam is just too complex, emphasizes a spokesperson. It is the first time that the NAM purchases a damaged property . The purchase price has not been disclosed. stock___cracked_wall_by_bambr-d31em6v
