Children seriously injured by shovel

Two children were seriously injured in an accident on a farm in the Frisian Peins. It concerns a 9-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl.According to police, the two were wounded by a shovel. It is still unclear what exactly transpired. It is also unclear who was operating the shovel. One of the children was taken to a hospital in Groningen by trauma helicopter, while the other one was hospitalized in Leeuwarden.
