No private policing Muslims in Schilderswijk
It is out of the question that neighborhood intervention teams in the Hague Schilderswijk maintain order according to Islāmic norms. The teams operate under the authority of the police and they determine what happens. Lodewijk Asscher, Ministers of Social Affairs, and Ivo Opstelten (Safety and Justice) stressed that Thursday in the House, after questions were asked by several MPs.
The debate focused on media reports that a Sharia triangle would exist in the Schilderswijk, where orthodox Muslims impose their rules on others. Asscher previously denied this was the case. He stressed Thursday that '' illegal'' social pressure will not be tolerated in the Dutch society and the government will take measures if necessary.

Wikimedia commons The PVV wants an investigation into the extent of Sharia neighborhoods in the Netherlands, but it lacks support in the Chamber. There's already enough research, claims Malik Azmani (VVD). However, the Chamber is concerned about integration problems in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Asscher is consulting with municipalities with problem areas. The Schilderswijk is not unique in Netherlands. The Minister has an open mind to suggestions, such as the frequent use of the 'Rotterdam Act, which can be used to impose requirements on newcomers in a neighborhood. Asscher does not feel for mandatory blending of schools, such as the SP Jasper van Dijk suggested. That does not provide a solution to problems that exist in the Schilderswijk.
