The section between Apeldoorn and Deventer will be upgraded to four lanes both ways and the section between Deventer and Azelo to three lanes both ways. Not only will this improve employment, but also accessibility, safety and economy, says commissioner Gerrit Jan Cook of Overijssel. In response to a motion in April, Minister Schultz van Haegen (Infrastructure) promised parliament she would decide on the accelerated construction as soon as possible.
