Vion Closes Production Site in NL

Food company Vion said it is planning to shut down its pork manufacturing site in the Netherlands since it is strengthening production. The group said output at its Vion Food Helmond site will be transferred to Vion Food Boxtel located 36km north. With this shift, around 130 jobs will be cut. The company is closing the site as a step to reorganize its operations in the Netherlands and Germany, further concentrating on pork and beef markets. VION Food Group, headquartered in Eindhoven, is an international company specializing in food and ingredients processing production. VION is based in the Netherlands.
