New Cordaid Projects in NL

Catholic Organisation for Relief and Development Aid (Cordaid) is launching a scheme to improve employment opportunities in the Netherlands. Homeless shelter in Maastricht
Photo by Mark Ahsmann/Wikimedia Commons Cordaid, one of the biggest international development organizations, is preparing to bring in three proposals on social entrepreneurship in the Netherlands. However, the organization explains that the project does not lead to change in work and priorities. The group’s initial project is a social business where jobless people can work with farmers and sell cheap fresh products to consumers who cannot afford expensive cost of living. This is their first social entrepreneurship-focused project in the country but they already had earlier projects as opposed to some claims against them. For the past years, Cordaid’s work in the Netherlands involved women empowerment and health care delivery. Source: Devex
