HortiTech Amsterdam 2014

The Dutch horticulture industry will host a new technology show next year after the conclusion of the Horti Fair in November 2012. Photo by Ian Alexander Martin/flickr The biennial event will be temporarily called HortiTech Amsterdam. It will be held in RAI exhibition hall from June 10 to June 12, 2014. The show will be supported by Dutch glasshouse construction and equipment sector trade body AVAG and agricultural mechanization trade body Fedecom. "The main players in the sector have joined forces to focus on the best possible way to promote and strengthen the unique role of the Netherlands as an innovator and market leader in horticulture," AVAG chairman Harm Maters said. In November 2012, Horti Fair event organizers said it would join the FloraHolland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer beginning this year. However, the planners disregard the plan in March because of many financial and working objections. Horti Fair finally ended after 40 years. Source: Hort Week
