The arrest of Taylor was a cooperative operation between the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) and European authorities (including Merseyside Police and the Amsterdam Police) to hand him over to the UK for further investigation. Detectives found a handgun, ammunition and false ID papers in the luxury apartment. "There is no such place as a safe haven for fugitives on the run," SOCA fugitives unit Head Dave Allen said.
