Fugitive Arrested in Amsterdam
James 'Pancake' Taylor, 34, wanted over a knife attack at a restaurant in Liverpool, has been arrested in Amsterdam.
Taylor is wanted over an assault on boxer Lee Siner at Liverpool's Kimos restaurant in October 2010.
According to the Merseyside Police, armed officers arrested him while he was leaving a gym on his way home.
The arrest of Taylor was a cooperative operation between the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) and European authorities (including Merseyside Police and the Amsterdam Police) to hand him over to the UK for further investigation. Detectives found a handgun, ammunition and false ID papers in the luxury apartment.
"There is no such place as a safe haven for fugitives on the run," SOCA fugitives unit Head Dave Allen said.
