Scotland's Transport Minister is Set to Visit the Netherlands
Scottish Transport Minister Keith Brown is scheduled to visit the Netherlands so he may have an idea on how to adapt an appropriate biking strategy in their country, according to transport news site www.trl.co.uk.
The government of Scotland’s goal is for cycling to become 10 percent of their country’s mode of transportation by the year 2020. Brown believes that the chance to work with Dutch officials will help them achieve this objective.

The Transport Minister said that he is looking forward to his Netherlands visit. He wants to compare the two countries in terms of education, infrastructure, and attitudes on biking. In addition, he wants to gain a lot of knowledge from the trip and share the information to their cycling community and local officials.
Chief Executive Ian Aitken of Cycling Scotland believes that the valuable information from the Minister's trip will benefit their country, especially their environment and their people's well being.
