Warning: Strong Winds

On Thursday, in the provinces of North-Holland and Overijssel, several trucks and trailers stalled because of strong winds. The Dutch traffic information service, VerkeersInformatieDienst (VID), warned drivers of trailers or caravans to be very careful especially on bridges and in flat agricultural and coastal areas. Because the weather have also affected railway traffic, travelers should plan 30 to 60 minutes extra travel time when taking the train between Amsterdam Central and Utrecht or between Schiphol and Utrecht. According to NU.nl, the weather stations do not expect any problems on Friday.
