Banks Team Up Against Cyber Attacks

The largest banks of the Netherlands will start working together to prevent cyber attacks. By sharing information, they should be able to defend themselves better. Information is not shared at the moment because of competition considerations. NOS.nl reported that the banks agreed to cooperate with the government on this in a meeting held on Monday. The banks will also appoint a permanent representative at the National Cyber Security Center who will take care of communications between banks and the government. Dutch banks have been regular victims of DDos-attacks, which disturb online payments.
