The Noord-Holland police admitted that mistakes were made in the investigation into the death of 25-year-old Amsterdam woman Talitha in 2013. In a letter to Talitha's relatives, the chief of the Noord-Holland police admits that two involved police officers acted "carelessly" in the investigation, the family's lawyer Sebas Diekstra said on Monday, NU.nl reports.
On Wednesday the court in Amsterdam is considering the request made by family members of 25 year old Amsterdam woman Talitha to prosecute a police officer involved in the case surrounding her death. The family believe that the officer lied about a possible "suicide note" found in the young woman's handbag after her death.
A police officer who allegedly lied about a suicide note after the death of Talitha (25) from Amsterdam should be prosecuted. This is according to lawyer Sébas Diekstra, who is assisting the young woman's relatives, Het Parool reports.
