Two mountain bikers were tripped up by a piece of wire spanned across a mountain bike path in Ommen last week, the police said on Facebook. Why the wire was placed there is unclear, but the police believe it to be a very dangerous prank.

Both mountain bikers escaped unharmed and are doing well, according to the Ommen police. "But it could've ended much differently", the police write on Facebook. The wire spanned over a mountain bike path near Waterschapsheuvel. It came from the fence of a nearby meadow.

An Eindhoven bus driver who had a while on duty late in January, is doing well and is back at work, his employer said to Omroep Brabant. "He was home for a while, but is back at work now. He sustained no permanent injury", the employer said to the broadcaster.

A 12-year-old boy's day of mischief with his brother ended with him in the hospital with a broken leg. The boys were ringing doorbells and running away in Purmerend, when one angry resident hit the boy with his car, the boy Ivano told broadcaster WNL. 

On Saturday night the two boys rang the man's doorbell on Nijlstraat as a prank, sprang on their bikes and cycled away. "The man did not come out. And then he came out of nowhere driving at quite a speed. Then he hit my brother", Ivano's brother Miguel told the broadcaster.

A YouTube prank in which two Dutch young men throw baby formula onto unsuspecting Asian people on the Amsterdam streets, is turning into an international quarrel. Chinese state media Xinhua asked the Chinese embassy in The Hague to take appropriate measures, and the embassy is no looking towards the Dutch politicians, blog GeenStijl reports.
